Fruit4All

Welcome to Fruit4All

Our project, Fruit4All, encourages people to post their garden harvest and acquire neighbour posts. By encouraging so, we reduce our reliance on the industrial food supply chain and improve food quality and accessibility. We’re a group of computer scientists, designers, and fruit enthusiasts here and it’s our dream to make a fruit sharing community go live!

Community Engagement

Come participate in our one-month user testing for a mobile app – Fruit4All – as part of our computing for sustainability research. The app encourages people to exchange their garden harvest through neighbors’ posts. By doing so, you can help contribute to sustainability through reducing your reliance on the industrial food supply chain and improving food quality and accessibility. The app strives to support local food resilience and community building. The app was built by a group of computer scientists, designers, and fruit enthusiasts who seek to bring a fruit sharing community into existence.

During the study, you’ll be able to see other users’ posts about fresh fruits and join in sharing your fruits. The team aims to build a platform so people can comfortably share food and knowledge. You can also reach out to your neighbors about their new harvest and adopt snew growing ideas for yourself.
